Dear Minisiege Admins,

The permanent mute I have received as the result of my actions is, I believe, entirely justified. When I saw the logs and how much toxicity was spewing out of my mouth, it felt like a shocking reality check to me. I knew I was breaking some rules but never quite realized to what extent this was happening. With that in mind, I wholly admit to being guilty of breaking the afore-mentioned server rules and the standard policy of being kind to other people. I hereby apologize to every single person I have ever said anything negative about, ever insulted, ever threatened, ever made their day worse with my words. I meant absolutely no harm to anyone, yet I am truly sorry if harm is what I have caused.

I will say two things, even though they are not part of my apology at all. First, my toxic and sometimes racist comments were mostly reactions to other people - either spewing insults at me or worse. Indeed it was quite stupid of my part to get angry for reasons as simple as getting killed, that is my mistake entirely. Yet I have been at the receiving end of a ton of bullying both on Minisiege and the Discord server (Bethrezen, Medic04 and Exedron are all witnesses to that), and in a desperate attempt to try and defend myself, my mouth acted in the worst way possible. So even though I had a reason to say such things, I do know that this does not justify anything I have said, and once again I am sorry for reacting this way. The second thing is that, even though I am a sinner, I sometimes say helpful things to people, such as explaining game mechanics, holding good conversations with some good folk on the server, and I have also contributed some maps (of varying quality) to Minisiege. Yet again I know this does not exempt me from any rules, and I should have been way more thoughtful about what I was saying, being such an avid Minisiege player.

So once again I hereby state that I sincerely do apologize to everyone - I will do so personally if requested, for the list of people I have insulted in any way is quite long. Two weeks have elapsed since my mute, and in those two weeks I have re-read the server rules and policies. Respected Admins, if you ever find it in your heart to unmute a wretched old man for his sins, I will forever be in your debt, and I promise to you that I will change my ways and think twice about what I say in the future.

Since I've read the original "How to make an unban request" thread, here's a poem too:

Once upon a time, in a server so famed,
A man had his heart with anger aflamed,

Something for his age quite unexplainable.

Hello,

This seems like a very reasonable response to being muted and I feel that a player who is as active and engaged as Marth within the Miniseige Community will be keen to not make the same mistakes twice. Clemency should be granted since he has a firm understanding of what he did wrong. Therefore we should place our faith in the Marth of the future who will endeavour to impress us with his civil manners and amuse us with his Chat GPT poems.

Without a doubt his behaviour will be watched be the entire community as a whole and will the Admins have already proven that they will not tolerate the poor language and approach that was formerly used by Marth. So I wish to endorse this Unmute request.

The Bald Sergeant grinned, without a doubt.

For in the realm of gaming, friendships bend,
But they mend just as quickly, in the end.
Marthy and the Bald Sergeant, foes and friends,
In Mount and Blade, where the saga never ends.

Now all that's left, in this virtual fray,
Is for Sarissa to return, and all's okay.
For in the land of gamers, forgiveness reigns,
And Mount and Blade, forever entertains.
